Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
A police sub-inspector (SI) of Raxaul police station was sent to police lines on Wednesday after a verbal sparring over allegations of beating and torturing army jawan Radha Mohan Giri in Raxaul.
SI Jitendra Kumar allegedly dragged and thrashed the army jawan, took him to the Raxaul police station and also locked him up. Giri told senior police officials that he was driving to the Raxaul matriculation examination center to drop his wife.
Meanwhile, one Taiyab Mian sustained minor injuries from the mirror of his car near the interrogation center.
Taiyab stopped the car, but when Giri assured Taiyab that he would bear the cost of medical treatment after leaving his wife at the interrogation center, the problem was resolved. According to Giri's statement, the SI reached the spot and asked him to take the car to the police station.
